About Us

Since 2000, PCW has been an omnipresent force for good in the Roanoke Valley, providing support and education for individuals and organizations facing a wide range of mental health and substance use issues. The organization has built local coalitions and employed national connections to address these issues in a manner emphasizing evidence-based approaches that constantly evolve to meet whatever challenges arise. PCW has been especially effective in Roanoke area schools, utilizing peer counselors and educational modules to meet students where they are.

Who We Are

Your Connection to Community Wellness

We’re a small group of compassionate individuals who have witnessed a breakdown of community in modern life. For over 20 years, we’ve realized every community has the strength to heal itself - they just need access to the tools to do it. We’ve taken what we’ve learned and created that access for everyone.

What We Do

Improving the health of a community begins with addressing the comprehensive wellness of each person in it.

Think of us as a help desk that connects you to everything from treatment options, to exercise classes, to recovery resources. There is no quick fix when it comes to keeping a community healthy, but we can start by making wellness resources more available for everyone in it.

We use our expertise to educate and support your organizations and businesses.

Our staff can equip you with wellness speakers, train-the-trainer coaching, and more. Reach out to customize your opportunity. Help is always out there; sometimes you just need someone to show you where to look.
